These Are The Top 3 Beaches In New Jersey

As Garden State residents flock to the Jersey Shore this summer, these are the beaches at the top of travelers' lists.

Summer is here, and Garden State residents are flocking to the Jersey Shore to enjoy their weekends, soaking up the sun on one of the state's many beaches.

While every New Jerseyan likely has a beach they frequent more often than others, a few have risen to the top of travelers' lists, according to TripAdvisor ratings.

The state's three most beloved beaches are all located in South Jersey. Coming in at No. 1 is Cape May Beach.

Nestled in New Jersey’s southernmost point, Cape May is one of America’s oldest seaside resorts and a popular summer getaway, according to TripAdvisor. Its beach, running parallel to Beach Avenue, draws travelers for its unobstructed Atlantic Ocean views, lined with ornate Victorian mansions, and bustling shops and eateries.

"The soft sand invites relaxation, while the picturesque views make for perfect photo opportunities. It's a serene escape for beach lovers seeking tranquility," one review said.

According to TripAdvisor, Wildwood Beach has clean, expansive shores that stretch for five miles across the shores of Wildwood. Beachgoers can go surfing, boogie boarding and kayaking. The beach is also free to enter, unlike most others in New Jersey.

"This beach was beautiful. I loved the soft sand and how clean it was," one review said. "The waves were perfect and I had access to the beach right next to my hotel. It was great."

Finally, the third most-loved beach in the state is Sunset Beach in Cape May County.

According to TripAdvisor, the beach is famous for its spectacular sunsets. It's located in Lower Township, at the very end of Sunset Boulevard, and beachgoers can enjoy miniature golf, shopping and the wrecked SS Atlantus.

"This has always been a great scenic beach to visit," one review said. "Whether it's to catch a sunset or relaxing on the beach, it's always peaceful.
