These Beaches, Lakes Have The Clearest Waters In New Jersey

Any New Jersey resident knows there's no shortage of beautiful beaches and lakes in the Garden State, and several of them offer some of the clearest waters in the state, according to one travel website.

A writer with TravelPander.com, an online travel blog dedicated to exploring places and cultures, revealed their top picks for the bodies of water in New Jersey with the clearest waters.

At the top of the writer's list was 96th Street Beach in Cape May County and Round Valley Reservoir in Hunterdon County.

Located in Stone Harbor on Seven Mile Island, 96th Street Beach has no boardwalk or carnival attractions, but the town itself offers plenty for tourists and residents alike, including boutique shops, galleries, restaurants and the Stone Harbor Bird Sanctuary.

Round Valley Reservoir in Clinton Township covers 2,350 acres and reaches approximately 180 feet, making it the second-deepest lake in New Jersey and the largest reservoir. A lifeguarded swimming area provides a place for summertime visitors to enjoy the water.
