Wealthiest NJ Counties: Where High Earners Live Around The State

Patch took a look at the most recently-released Census data to find out which counties have the highest concentrations of rich residents.

NEW JERSEY — New data from the U.S. Census shows that almost one-third households in one New Jersey county had a household income of $200,000 or more last year.

An analysis by World Population Review earlier this year showed that New Jersey has the highest percentage of households that make $200,000 or more per year – categorized as high income earners — outside of Washington, D.C. The analysis found 14.8 percent of Garden State residents are at this income threshold.

And with the state’s median household income at $96,346, these high earners make more than double what the average New Jerseyan earns.
