$1 Million In Upgrades For Asbury Park Wastewater Treatment Plant
The project will filter out debris that leads to system failures, helping the city avoid discharges into the Atlantic Ocean.
ASBURY PARK, NJ — Congressman Frank Pallone (D-NJ6) announced he just secured $1 million for a new screening system at the city of Asbury Park’s wastewater treatment plant.
The project will filter out debris that leads to system failures, helping the city avoid discharges into the Atlantic Ocean, particularly during the busy summer season when failures can disrupt tourism and pose environmental risks.
The $1 million is federal funding in the fiscal year 2026 appropriations bill. Pallone also secured funding for the wastewater treatment plant in Perth Amboy.
