Hengerer has done the Pan-Mass Challenge for the past eight years. His goal this year is to raise $6,000 for cancer research.
Last year, the bike race raised more than $66 million for cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In 2022, bicyclists hope to break that record. The Pan-Mass Challenge is the nation’s single most successful athletic fundraiser, donating 100 percent of every rider-raised dollar to Dana-Farber as its largest single contributor.

"I knew that I wanted to do something to raise money for a great cause," said Hengerer. "This is me doing my little part in trying to beat this nasty, evil and torturous disease."
