Asbury Park Offers CPR Course For Community Dec. 19

The mayor's committee on wellness has scheduled a free CPR training course Dec. 19 in City Hall.

ASBURY PARK, NJ - The mayor's wellness committee is sponsoring a free cardiopulmonary resuscitation training course Dec. 19 in City Hall, 1 Municipal Plaza. It is important to learn CPR because it is needed to help save lives before first responders arrive on the scene, sponsors said. They pointed out that 100 student athletes die each year from sudden cardiac arrest.

The session runs from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Space is limited and registration is required. To register, email wellness@cityofasburypark.com or telephone 732-502-5727.

This American Heart Association Family and Friends CPR course is for people who do not need a completion card for their jobs. They will, however, receive a participation card.
