Back To School Supply Drive Happening In Asbury Park

The city will hand out the supplies at the city's Back to School Party in August.

ASBURY PARK, NJ – The Asbury Park School District is currently accepting donations of school supplies as part of its Back To School Supply Drive.

They are looking for backpacks, folders, loose-leaf paper, notebooks, pencils, blue and black pens, crayons, three-ring binders, scissors, markers, colored pencils, pencil cases, glue sticks, highlighters, and lunch boxes.

All of the donated school supplies will be packaged together and given out at the city’s Back to School Party on Aug 21 from 12 to 4 p.m. at the Hammany Basketball Courts.

Donations can be dropped off at City Hall Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Aug 13, and the Clerk’s or City Manager’s Office, and for more information, call Cassandra Dickerson at 732-502-5753 or Leesha Floyd at 732-502-5759.
