• 3 Men Indicted for Fatal Long Branch Shooting (thecoaster.net) — An Asbury Park resident is among three men indicted in connection with a fatal March shooting of an 18-year-old in Long Branch, according to Monmouth County prosecutors. The detailed charges include murder, conspiracy, and multiple weapons offenses, with all three defendants currently detained at the county correctional facility pending further court proceedings.
   

• Director Of Garden State Equality Charged With Child Endangerment, Assault (patch.com) — An Asbury Park–based LGBTQ+ advocacy group, Garden State Equality, has placed its executive director on leave after his arrest in Neptune City on child endangerment and assault charges tied to his role as a foster parent. Authorities say home video footage and witness statements prompted the investigation, while the nonprofit stresses it opposes violence and will continue its work under an acting executive director as the court process unfolds.
