They're looking for people to portray Springsteen's earliest fans when he first started playing gigs at the Stone Pony and other bars in Asbury. Extras must be OK with filming day/overnight scenes, be comfortable around atmospheric smoke and do a costume fitting in Jersey City.

Also, certain people cast as extras will be asked to appear at later filming dates in January, at the former Izod Center in the Meadowlands. Those will depict Springsteen concert scenes from his "Born in the U.S.A." tour.

So far, the movie already filmed in Bayonne in November, and they shot a state fair scene in Denville. The movie will film in New Jersey through Jan. 10.

"Deliver Me From Nowhere" is about The Boss' pivotal years in the early '80s, just before he reached worldwide fame with his earth-shattering "Born in the U.S.A." album (released 1984). The movie depicts Springsteen recording his much lesser-known "Nebraska" album, which critics say shows a much more "stripped-down and personal" Springsteen. In fact, Springsteen recorded the entire "Nebraska" album on a four-track cassette in his bedroom in New Jersey, according to the movie's Wikipedia page.

For filming, it's going under the code name "Husker." They are paying $176/day to appear as extras in the film.

Adam Sandler's "Happy Gilmore 2" is also currently filming in New Jersey.
