Woman Hit By Car Wednesday Morning In Asbury Park

She was hit at 6:57 a.m. while crossing the intersection of Asbury and Prospect avenues.

ASBURY PARK, NJ — A woman walking across the street was hit by a car Wednesday morning in Asbury Park, according to Asbury Park Police.

Her injuries appear to be non-life threatening, said police.

Police said at 6:57 a.m. Wednesday they were called to the intersection of Asbury and Prospect avenues for a call of a pedestrian stuck.

Upon arrival, they found a woman in her 50s. She was taken to an area hospital with leg and back injuries. The driver remained on the scene and at this time, no summonses were issued.
