1 Airlifted After Crash On Long Beach Island: Officials
A single passenger became entrapped after a crash on Wednesday night and was airlifted to a local trauma center, authorities said.

LONG BEACH ISLAND, NJ — Multiple fire departments responded to a crash in Ship Bottom on Wednesday night, authorities said.
Stations 46 and 49 were dispatched to the corner of Long Beach Boulevard and 24th Street just before 8:15 p.m. for a report of a motor vehicle accident, authorities said.
On scene, crews encountered a single passenger heavily entrapped in the vehicle, the Ship Bottom Volunteer Fire Department said on Facebook.

Crews stabilized the vehicle and extricated the passenger, authorities said. Station 47 was dispatched for additional extrication tools and manpower.
The passenger was airlifted to a local trauma center, authorities said. The MEDIVAC landing zone was secured by the High Point Volunteer Fire Company.

The road between 24th and 25th streets in the borough were closed for several hours Wednesday night as authorities investigated the crash, Long Beach Township police said.
Several local departments responded to the scene of the crash including the Ship Bottom Volunteer Fire Company, Surf City Volunteer Fire Company, Ship Bottom Police Department , Beach Haven First Aid Squad, Stafford Township Volunteer Fire Company and High Point Volunteer Fire Company.
