Baby's Death Under Investigation In Southern Ocean, Prosecutor Says

A 2-year-old boy was pronounced dead after police found him unresponsive inside a Little Egg Harbor home, officials said.

LITTLE EGG HARBOR, NJ — The death of a baby boy in Southern Ocean County is under investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.

Shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday, Little Egg Harbor police responded to a 911 call of an unresponsive 2-year-old at a Radio Road home, Billhimer said.

The boy was pronounced dead at the scene, Billhimer said.

No further information was immediately available.

The office's Major Crime Unit, Little Egg Harbor detectives, the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit and the Ocean County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the death.
