Come Celebrate 'Furfest' At The Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter On Saturday

A pet costume parade with prizes is planned, adoption fees waived for some animals.

Then bring them to the Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter in Manahawkin for the 9th Annual Furfest on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The event, which is run by the Friends of the Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter, is holding a pet costume parade and your pets are invited.

Prizes and ribbons will be awarded. Buy some baked goods to help the shelter animals. Adoption fees will be waived for some animals.

The shelter is located at 360 Haywood Road in Manahawkin.
