Dunkin' In Barnegat Offers New Perks, Contemporary Vibe

BARNEGAT, NJ — The Dunkin' in Barnegat opened last month and took no time to create a buzz. Dunkin', located just off the Garden State Parkway at 770 Lighthouse Dr., offers a new look and new perks not found at most locations.

Recent innovations to the company have included increasing emphasis on mobile ordering, and this Dunkin' has it.

Customers can make an order on the Dunkin' app and use the mobile order lane. This would take them to a second window where their order would be ready and waiting. Through the Dunkin' app, customers can pay on their phone.

The idea is for fast and more convenient service, according to Brittany S., a manager at the Barnegat location.

"The drive thru is busier than the inside," she said.

Also, the interior of the location has been modernized. The floor has a no-slip application and there are mobile phone charging stations at the high rise tabletop.

"It's comfortable, convenient and a great place to meet up with friends," said customer Jeff Brandt.

The location at 770 Lighthouse Drive accommodates the nearby senior living community, commuters and shoppers at the Barnegat 67 plaza. It halves the distance between the locations at Waretown and Manahawkin.

"The store inside is great and the people are friendly," said customer Tom Volivari. "I like it in Barnegat because I live in Barnegat."

The approach appears to be working: In its first three days, it made $18,000, which is what other Dunkin' locations make in a week, according to management.

While the Barnegat 67 Dunkin' is serving customers, the grand opening of Barnegat's first "next gen" Dunkin' will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Friday. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3 p.m as well as face painting, balloon art, free Dunkin' samples and giveaways.
