Four Cars Engulfed In Flames At Southern Ocean Medical Center

Vehicles caught on fire in parking lot of medical center's Health Village, police say

STAFFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ - No one was injured Wednesday afternoon when four vehicles caught on fire in the Southern Ocean Medical Center's Health Village parking lot, Lt. James R. Vaughn said.

Stafford police responded to a report of a vehicle fire shortly after 2 p.m. in the parking lot and found not one, but four vehicles engulfed in flames in the parking lot next to the building's front entrance, Vaughn said.

The vehicle fires were quickly extinguished by the Stafford Township Fire Company and the Barnegat Township Fire Company. The Stafford Township EMS also responded to assist, he said.

There were no injuries reported. All of the vehicles were removed from the property.

The incident is under investigation by the Stafford Township Bureau of Fire Prevention, Vaughn said.
