Harvest Your Own Cranberries This Weekend At Cloverdale Farm County Park

Pay a $3 fee and pick a gallon of cranberries.

Love fall? Love cranberries?

Then come to Cloverdale Farm County Park this month and pick your own.

Visitors can bring a one-gallon Ziplock bag and fill it up for only $3, according to the Ocean County Department of Parks and Recreation Department's fall events booklet.

There are four harvest dates - Saturday, Oct. 15, Sunday, Oct. 16, Saturday, Oct. 29 and Sunday, Oct. 30.

All harvest dates will run from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

There must be a minimum of five participants for each scheduled day, or a maximum of 20. The event is open to all ages.

Ocean County bought the farm in 2004 from Katherine Collins, who operated the bogs with her husband William. The property has been in continuous use as a cranberry farm since the late 1800s.
