Learn More About Global Sea Level Change and How It Will Affect You At Tuckerton Seaport Event

Princeton professor will discuss cause and effects of sea level change in New Jersey.

Want to learn how global sea level change affects you now and will in the future?

Then come to a Nov. 9 presentation at the Hunting Shanty at Tuckerton Seaport. The event is part of the Seaport's "Lunch and Learn" series.

Princeton University professor Maya Buchanan will provide an overview of the causes and local contributions to New Jersey sea level change. She will also review how sea level change affects flooding and how flooding could change in future decades.

She will also discuss options that federal, state and local governments use to deal with sea level change and flooding and options and challenges for coastal area residents.

The event will run from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The admission fee is $2. Please call 609-296-8868 to register. Coffee and cookies will be served. Participants are also free to bring their own lunches, or order and soup and sandwich option for $6.
