Little Egg Harbor Man Facing Numerous Sexual Crimes Charges, Including Child Pornography Production

Little Egg Harbor, NJ - Authorities have arrested a township man who is a marine mechanic for the New Jersey State Police for child pornography production and other sex crimes, according to app.com.

Milton Cortina, 39, Lakewood Court, was arrested recently and charged with six crimes related to aggravated sexual assault, criminal sexual conduct and child pornography, said county and township investigators.

Sgt. Jeff Flynn said the agency would suspend Cortina, likely by Wednesday. State pension records showed Cortina earned $51,074 plus $1,535 in overtime in 2015.,

The arrest follows an investigation that began in December, said Ocean County Prosecutor's Office spokesman Al Della Fave.

Cortina was still lodged in the Ocean County Jail on Wednesday, according to inmate records.

The country prosecutor's high-tech crime unit and the Ocean County Sheriff's Office's crime scene investigators contributed to the investigation, Della Fave said.

Little Egg Harbor police Detective Joel Mahr was the lead investigator from the township, Police Chief Richard Buzby said.
