Many LBI FLY Beach Activities Canceled Sunday Due To Rain And Wind

But many indoor activities are still on.

The organizers of the LBI FLY Kite Festival canceled outdoor beach activities for now this morning, due to rain and high wind, according to the festival's Facebook page.

However, the High Fliers Art Market, Kids Kite Making and Miniature Butterfly Kite Making at the Surf City Fire House are still on until 4 p.m. The Night Fly Extravaganza - kites synchronized to music - is also slated to go on at 6:30 p.m. at the Barnegat Lighthouse.

"We are also, at this point, working on details to extend the Kite Festival in both Ship Bottom and Beach Haven tomorrow, Monday, Oct.10. We will communicate further with details as they become available.
Thank you to all who have come out and enjoyed the festival thus far. There is still much happening today. Therefore, don't let the weather rain on your parade!
