Thomas Steadman, Lally Lane was the top vote getter in the council race with 1,314 votes. Also elected were Anthony R. Guariglia, Stowaway Road; Michael T. Pfancook, Mariner Avenue, George S. Williams, Mermaid Drive; Robert Henken-Siefken, Breakers Drive; and Paul S. Krier, of Stormy Road , will all take their seats on the council dias.

"Thank you, Stafford Township," a post on their Facebookpage states. "It's a sweep! We are humbled and honored!"

All of Spodofora's slate went down in defeat, including incumbents Stephen Fessler, Oxycocus Road; Paul Marchal, Jennifer Lane; Sharon McKenna, Admiral Avenue; and David Taylor, Coral Lane.

Myhre and his team ran on the Stafford Conservatives ticket, which is listed as "Ocean County MAGA Republicans," on the Ocean County Clerk's website.

The slate was on a mission to fight Gov. Murphy's "far-left policies," - and are committed to the principles of limited government, trimming wasteful spending, and fighting for the taxpayer, Myhre said.

"Our team brings a broad range of experience to tackle new issues that Stafford faces with the onslaught of regulations raining down from the Murphy administration," he has said.

No Democrats filed to run in the primary election.
