One Man Dead After Altercation In Little Egg Harbor: Authorities

LITTLE EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ - Authorities are investigating the death of a man at a Maplewood Drive home in the township that took place on Wednesday night, a spokesman for the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said.

"The death appears to be attributed to an altercation between two male individuals at the residence," said Al Della Fave, spokesman for the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.

The Prosecutor's Office, the Ocean County Sheriff's Department and the Little Egg Harbor Police Department are investigating the death, he said.

"The suspect allegedly responsible for the death is in custody and the investigation is actively seeking answers as to what took place," Della Fave said.

There is no danger to the public, he said.
