UPDATE: Sections Of Route 9 In Stafford Reopened After Gas Leak Investigation

UPDATE: Route 9 South in Stafford Township has been reopened. There are no traffic issues is this area now, police said.

A section of Route 9 South in Stafford Township in the area of Cedar Bridge Road is closed, while police, fire officials and New Jersey Natural Gas investigate a gas leak, Stafford Lt. James R. Vaughn said

Route 9 southbound has been closed and traffic is being diverted onto Hilliard Boulevard, Vaughn said.

The Route 9 northbound lane remains open.
