Ship Bottom Police Officer Helps Terminally Ill Woman Take Her Final Walk On The Beach

The act of kindness will long be remembered by Patricia Kelly and her family.

Patricia Kelly had one wish before her leukemia eventually takes her life.

She wanted to go to the beach. And Ship Bottom Officer Ronald Holloway made it happen, according to the police department Facebook page.

Guy Corbin, Kelly's son called the police department to see if anyone could grant his mother her last wish.

"A BIG SHOUT OUT to Officer Ronald Holloway ....he is a man who not only protects and serves but genuinely cares...his extraordinary kindness and character speaks volumes of the man he is. He is a true assets to your department. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Ship Bottom Police Department!!!"

Kelly was diagnosed with terminal leukemia in December. She was given three to six months to live. She had one quest - to visit the Ship Bottom Beach, her son said.

"You will all hold a very special place in our hearts for giving Pat her final ride on the Ship Bottom Beach, a place near and dear to her," he said. "We spent this past weekend celebrating the life of Patricia Kelly, of Burlington, New Jersey."

Holloway took Kelly down to the beach in a police SUV.
