Stafford Library To Undergo Mold Remediation This Week
Following an indoor air quality study, the Stafford Library branch will clean its upper and lower levels on alternate days this week.

STAFFORD, NJ — The Stafford Branch of the Ocean County Library will undergo cleaning by a mold remediation company starting Tuesday, Nov. 2.
“The Ocean County Library is proactive in immediately addressing water issues and does due diligence in maintenance of the building including ongoing remediation and cleaning protocols,” said Susan Quinn, Ocean County Library Director, in a statement.
“This includes a recent indoor air quality study done at the Stafford Branch by TTI Environmental, Inc., Moorestown, NJ who is certified for mold testing and inspection.”

The report indicated overall conditions in the building are acceptable. According to Quinn, there is no need to close the building as per TTI Environmental.
One area in the basement and a few other areas require surface cleaning. This work will be done by a certified remediation company.

On Tuesday, the upper level of the Stafford Branch will be cleaned and will reopen on Wednesday.
Then the lower level of the building will be closed on Wednesday for cleaning. The work is scheduled to take two to three days to complete.
After the building is cleaned it will be re-tested, Quinn said.
