Steven G. Rushford, MD, Of Manahawkin Dies At 43

Steven G. Rushford, MD, of Manahawkin died on Nov. 7 with his loving family by his side.

Steven is survived by his wife, Genevieve, his three sons, Dillon, Devin and Joey, his mother and father; Diane and Gregory, his sister, Heather Cruz (Martin), his nephew, Christopher, his nieces, Nikole and Emily and his great-nephew, Matthew. He is also survived by his grandfather, Frederick Walshak (Heneriette) as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins.

Steven was a pediatrician with the Pediatric Affiliates, Ocean County, for the past 12 years. He was the Chairman of Pediatrics at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ.

He was a graduate of Monsignor Donovan High School, Rider University and the American University of the Caribbean. He was a fan of the Giants football team.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016 at the Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin, NJ.

A Mass will be held at 11:30 on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church 685 Hooper Ave. Toms River, NJ. Burial will be private.
