Two Long Beach Island Men Charged With Theft Of $30,000 Of Siding

Police are still investigating the thefts, which occurred in Long Beach Township, Beach Haven and Stafford Township.

Long Beach Township police recently charged two local men with the theft of almost $30,0000 of siding from several area homes, according to the department's Facebook page.

Police were contacted on Dec. 26 after someone reported the theft of $20,000 of siding from a Long Beach Township home. An additional $9,000 worth of siding was stolen out of Beach Haven and railing was stolen from a Stafford Township property. All of the items were recovered inside a Long Beach Township home, the report said.

The police investigation led to the arrest of Joseph F. Cogliano Jr. and Daniel L. Smith for burglary, theft of movable property, theft by deception, possession of stolen property, fencing and conspiracy.
