South Jersey Woman Competes On 'Fear Factor' Reboot

EGG HARBOR TWP., NJ — "Fear Factor" is back. And a local woman will be competing in some extreme - and disturbing - conditions.

"Fear Factor: House of Fear," hosted by "Jackass" star Johnny Knoxville, premieres on Jan. 14 on Fox. And on the first episode, you'll be introduced to 41-year-old Danielle Stephens, an Egg Harbor Township resident.

In the reboot of the popular show, 14 contestants will be placed in a house together and compete for a $200,000 prize.

According to Fox:

Dropped into an unforgiving, remote location, a group of strangers will live together under one roof, and face mind-blowing stunts, harrowing challenges and a twisted game of social strategy where trust is fleeting — and fear is a weapon. Only one contestant will conquer all their fears and walk away with the massive grand prize! The series is set to premiere in the 2025-2026 season FOX.

Stephens, an aerospace engineer, told the Press of Atlantic City she applied because a friend who also applied convinced her.

A trailer for the show (watch below) shows the contestants trying to escape from plastic, being covered in bugs and snakes and of course, being forced to eat disgusting things.

"Fear Factor: House of Fear" premieres on Jan. 14 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
