Basking Ridge Student's Artwork to Appear in Department of Education building in Washington, D.C.

Liberty Corner art teacher, Alicia Bynoe, entered Liberty Corner student, Luke Wenzel’s, artwork into the VSA International Art Program for Children with Disabilities.

The contest invites students with disabilities around the world to display their artwork side-by-side in an online exhibition. Only a few pieces are chosen to be displayed at the Department of Education in Washington D.C. and Luke’s art was selected as one of the winning pieces!

Luke’s cityscape, entitled “My New York City,” will appear in the Department of Education building.

Government representatives from New Jersey will be invited to attend the exhibition’s opening reception to view his artwork. The theme of the contest was “Yo Soy...Je Suis...I Am... The Future” and Luke’s cityscape (attached to this article) reflects this theme beautifully.
