In order for a license to be issued, the owner must present proof that a licensed veterinarian has vaccinated the dog / cat against rabies and that the duration of immunity from that vaccination fully extends through 10 months of the 12-month licensing period.

An exemption to the rabies inoculation requirement shall be granted if the owner presents written certification from a licensed veterinarian that the dog/cat cannot be vaccinated due to a medical condition or course of therapy.

The rabies expiration date for your pet can be found on your current dog/cat license. If you are unsure of the expiration date call or email Michelle Santoro, Bernards Township Animal Control Officer, at #908-204-3066 or MSantoro@Bernards.org.
