New Home Design Company Opens In Basking Ridge

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Remodeling homes for around 35 years, Colin and Bob Lamond, owners of Haus Remodeling in Basking Ridge, saw a need for a designer to help their clients plan out their spaces.

That prompted the duo to expand and open Finley Design Co. at 28 Lyons Road in Basking Ridge to help clients design their space with selected and curated materials, finishes, and cabinetry.

The design company will primarily focus on kitchen and bathrooms but also offer help to other interior designers, builders, and architects that are not contracting through Haus Remodeling, said Senior Designer Ali Altieri.

Altieri graduated in 2004 and has been doing design for more than 20 years.

"I like to assist people with selecting everything that they want for their project, so that they have the support of somebody who has an education, who understands not only design parameters, but also the different types of materials that can be used," said Altieri. "I like to be able to keep clients in their budget, but still be creative and make it look beautiful and custom and not necessarily have the large price tag."

At Finley Design Co. customers can come in to see a selection of countertop samples, tile samples, and cabinetry. They also have a display bathroom, a fully functioning kitchen, a bar display, and more.

"There's a conference room for designers to come in and put their materials down on the table and plug into a TV to show all their documents and their renderings," said Altieri. "You come here and you get everything that you need for your project in one place."

Altieri added that Finley Design Co. will put all the documentation together and everything gets delivered according to a delivery schedule.

"It's just a much easier environment than shopping at all these different places for all your materials," said Altieri.

Altieri said they also offer bid packages to get everything planned and designed before going out to a contractor for a bid.
