Man Wanted For Car Theft, Named Somerset County Fugitive Of The Month
Matthew R. Venn was named the Fugitive of the Month for November 2025 by the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A man wanted for theft of a motor vehicle in Bernards Township was named the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office(SCPO) Fugitive of the Month for November.
Matthew R. Venn is wanted by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office for Failure to Appear (FTA) for a third-degree theft of a motor vehicle and fourth-degree endangering another knowingly, all of which occurred in Bernards Township.
In addition, Venn has an active municipal warrant out of Passaic County. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

The SCPO released the following information on Venn:
- Date of birth: 04/14/1982
- Height: 5'10
- Weight: 180
- Hair: Brown
- Eyes: Brown
- Tattoos: Multiple - chest, left arm, right arm, right leg
- Last known address: Morris Plains (Morris County)
