Fugitive Wanted In Child Sex Assault Case Nabbed In Basking Ridge: Police
Bernards Township Police said they found Jaron Bynum at the Lyons Mall after a report of a suspicious man who was asking patrons for money.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A fugitive wanted out in connection with a child sex assault case out of North Carolina was nabbed by Bernards Township Police.
On July 19, Bernards Township Officer Dean Hogan responded to the Lyons Mall for a report of a suspicious man who was asking patrons for money, according to the Bernards Township Police blotter.
After police identified the man as Jaron Bynum from Midland City, Alabama, dispatch said that Bynum had a full nationwide extradition NCIC warrant for sexual assault of a minor in Jacksonville, NC, said police.

Bynum was placed under arrest and charged as a fugitive from justice; he was taken to the Somerset County Jail pending his extradition to North Carolina.
