New Fire Truck Joins Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department

FAR HILLS, NJ — A brand new fire truck has joined the fleet at Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department.

"This apparatus has been in the works for the better part of 5 years, and we appreciate the support of Bedminster Township Council, Far Hills Borough Council, and both town administrators," said Chief of Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department Carson Brienza to Patch.

Squad 29 is a purpose-built apparatus designed to conduct both fire and rescue functions effectively and for many years to come.

The Pierce Enforcer has a 2,000 gallons-per-minute pump, 750 gallons of onboard water, 50 gallons of onboard foam, and seating for six.

This new apparatus replaces the department's 1992 Pierce Lance Engine, which served the residents for 30 years.

The new engine will go into service in the coming months once all tools have been mounted and installed.

"We are grateful to have the opportunity to continue to serve the residents of Bedminster and Far Hills and hope everyone has a wonderful remainder of their summer," said Brienza.
