• Bernards Township Explores Ways To Improve Safety On Allen Road Following Fatality (patch.com) — Basking Ridge residents are being heard as Bernards Township and Somerset County study safety improvements on Allen Road, where local resident Bhuvana Mani was fatally struck while using a crosswalk on Halloween. Mayor Ana Duarte McCarthy says engineering studies and a potential partnership with RideWise could soon bring concrete changes focused on pedestrian, biking, and transit safety in the area.

Coordinated work between New Jersey and New York police led to felony charges and high bail for the Connecticut man now held in Westchester County.
