Community Health Survey Deadline Extended By Bernards Township Health Department

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The Bernards Township Health Department has extended its deadline to fill out the Community Health Survey.
The Health Department is seeking input on the health needs and priorities of residents within its jurisdiction.
The survey is open to all residents of Bernards Township, Bernardsville Borough, and Peapack and Gladstone Borough in Somerset County, Chester Borough, Long Hill Township, and Mendham Borough in Morris County.

Community members are invited to take 10 to 15 minutes of their time to complete the anonymous and confidential survey at www.tinyurl.com/bthdvoices or by visiting the Bernards Township Health Department website at www.bernardshealth.org.
Paper copies are also available at the Health Department office in Basking Ridge, at each of the public libraries serving Bernards Township, Bernardsville, Chester, Mendham, and Long Hill Township, as well as at the Peapack & Gladstone Municipal Building.

The survey closes Jan. 20.
The data will help guide programs and services in areas such as health education, disease prevention, and public health screenings. It will also support needs-based decision making and ensure that resources are targeted where they are most needed, allowing services to evolve with the community’s changing health priorities.
The mission of the Bernards Township Health Department is to provide competent, professional, and efficient public health and environmental services to the communities it serves.
Through the delivery of State-mandated “Public Health Practice Standards of Performance for Local Boards of Health in New Jersey” and the ordinances and policies of each contractual Board of Health, the Bernards Township Health Department protects the public’s health through health promotion, environmental enforcement, and inspection activities.
The Bernards Township Health Department is the contractual health agency for Bernards Township, Bernardsville Borough, Chester Borough, Long Hill Township, Mendham Borough, and Peapack and Gladstone Borough.
