Reminder: Primary Election Day in Basking Ridge

Polls opened at 6 a.m. and will remain open until 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Basking Ridge residents are fulfilling their “civic duties” by heading to the polls today to cast ballots in the primary election.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, at a number of locations across Bernards Township.

Two residents are on the ballot for two posts on the Bernards Township Committee.

Republicans Mayor John Malay and committeewoman Carolyn Gaziano filed for the Primary Election.

Malay has served on the Township committee since 2004. Gaziano is a committeewoman and has served on the Township committee since 2010 and served as Mayor in 2013, according to Bernards Township.

No Democratic candidates filed applications to be placed on the ballot.
