Ridge HS Theatre Holds WAMS & Elementary Mary Poppins Workshop

Students will step into the magical world of musical theatre by learning choreography, building confidence, musicality, teamwork, and more.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The Ridge High School Theatre Department invites William Annin Middle School students and 4th to 5th-grade students from Bernards Township public elementary schools to a special Mary Poppins Dance Workshop on Tuesday, Feb. 10, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Ridge High School Performing Arts Center.

As rehearsals begin for Mary Poppins, students will step into the magical world of musical theatre by learning the iconic choreography to "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious," while building confidence, musicality, teamwork, and stage presence under the guidance of Tim Lynch, Director of Theatre Arts at Ridge High School.

This is a drop-off event, with parents invited back at 6:30 p.m. for a short showcase performance.

The Ridge Theatre Program is known statewide for producing outstanding high school theatre and recently earned two Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Awards for last year’s production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, while the fall production of Radium Girls was named Top Play in New Jersey.
