Update: Ridge-Linden Game Goes to Red Devils in Overtime

At the end of the first quarter, Ridge and Linden were tied 7-7 in a home game on Lee Field at Ridge High School. By 9:20 p.m., the two teams were locked in a 14-14 tie and going into overtime.

But on a Conor Hughes pass to Ryan Bell, Ridge finally took the game 20-14 in overtime.

Following last week's win over rival Immaculata, and the previous week's shutout of Montgomery, the Ridge Red Devils now are 3-0 for the season.

Friday also was Ridge Youth Sports night, with the younger teams heading out onto the field before the game.

Fan Ben Abbate said, "The Ridge Red Devils definitely are going to come back out and be super-awesome."

The Devils snack bar on Friday night was serving team-mom-made chili along with other snacks and hearty foods.
