Basking Ridge: Verizon Employees Make Superhero Capes For Local Hospital Patients Today

Hundreds of Verizon managers, executives and summer interns in New Jersey will gather on Tuesday (July 15) to network, learn about the patients at Trinitas Regional Medical Center  and then make superhero capes.

Verizon participants will be asked to decorate and make special one-of-a-kind capes that will be donated to young patients at Trinitas Regional Medical Center and their friends.  Superhero capes have been shown to bring joy, optimism and strength to hospitalized children.

Across the country, Verizon will host nearly a dozen volunteering events this summer to make over 500 superhero capes for local hospitals.   The program provides an opportunity for employees and interns to serve others to make a profound impact in the communities in which they work.
