Weather Update: Weekend Weather Forecast in Basking Ridge

After a pair of bouts with heavy rain and thunderstorms last weekend and earlier this week, residents are likely in the mood for some sunny weather.

Wednesday, weather forecasters are calling for mostly cloudy conditions, with a high near 67 degrees. Temperatures will drop to a low around 55 tonight with a chance of rain, mainly after 2 a.m. The National Weather Service is forecasting a 30 percent chance of rain on Wednesday night and Thursday, with high temperatures near 69 degrees.

However, Basking Ridge should see temperatures increasing this weekend and partly cloudy conditions. Friday and Sunday will see temperatures reaching the mid-70s, while Saturday’s high will be in the low 80s, according to the National Weather Service. The NWS, however, is forecasting a 30 percent chance of rain, mainly before 1 p.m., on Saturday in Basking Ridge.

• Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 53.
