That's a wrap for the 2024 board of education races in Belleville and Nutley. Here are the winners in each town.
BELLEVILLE-NUTLEY, NJ — That's a wrap for the 2024 board of education races in Belleville and Nutley.
On Tuesday, the Essex County Clerk's Office confirmed to Patch that the results from the 2024 general election have been certified in the wake of Election Day, which took place on Nov. 5.
In Belleville, four candidates competed for two open seats on the board of education. Terms last for three years. Esteban Leon and Jean Rodriguez Gillis have emerged victorious.

Here are the final results, as per the clerk’s office:
- Esteban Leon – 5,402 votes (31.6%)
- Jean Rodriguez Gillis – 5,094 votes (29.8%)
- Nicole Coviello Daddis – 4,677 votes (27.36%)
- Kenia Nicole Arroyabe – 1,921 votes (11.24%)
In Nutley, four candidates competed for three open seats on the board of education. Terms last for three years. Nicholas Scotti, Daniel Fraginals and Stephen Gilberti have emerged victorious.

Here are the final results, as per the clerk’s office:
- Nicholas Scotti – 7,295 votes (30.14%)
- Daniel Fraginals – 6,238 votes (25.77%)
- Stephen Gilberti – 5,937 votes (24.53%)
- Joseph Battaglia – 4,736 votes (19.57%)
