Belleville School District Begins Search For New Superintendent
District administrators are asking for public feedback as they continue their hiring search. Watch video footage from a recent forum here.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — The Belleville Board of Education has officially launched its search for the district’s next superintendent.
The board said it aims to have the next superintendent in place by July 1, which will help to ensure a smooth transition for the 2025-2026 school year.
The board has hired Strategic Exemplary Alliance to conduct the search, which will involve “comprehensive community engagement,” “rigorous candidate vetting” and a “thorough selection process,” trustees said.

The district held a virtual public forum about the hiring process last week (watch the video below or view it online here). The board sought feedback from students, parents and community members on three key questions:
- What are the strengths of the district?
- What challenges must the next superintendent address?
- What attributes and characteristics are essential for success in this role?
Belleville residents can also submit feedback via an online survey, which can be seen here.
