Belleville Schools Closed Thursday; Nutley Schools Delayed Opening
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the Belleville-Nutley area amid a winter storm.
BELLEVILLE-NUTLEY, NJ — The Belleville Public School District will be closed on Thursday, Feb. 6 due to a winter storm, and the Nutley Public School District is having a delayed opening.
According to an advisory from the Belleville school district: "Due to the winter storm and hazardous road conditions, all schools in the Belleville Public School District will be closed today, Thursday, Feb. 6."

According to an advisory from the Nutley school district: "Please be advised that the Nutley Public Schools will operate on a 90-minute Delayed Opening Schedule for Thursday, February 6, 2025 due to the forecast and weather advisory of snow, freezing rain and a wintry mix during the morning hours which may make travel challenging. The weather will be monitored overnight and if a full day closure is warranted, the district will communicate in the morning."
