BELLEVILLE, NJ — The Belleville Police Department recently held a swearing-in ceremony at City Hall for 10 new officers and a newly promoted detective sergeant.
According to a social media post from the BPD:
“Earlier [this week], the Belleville Police Department proudly held a swearing-in ceremony at City Hall honoring newly promoted Detective Sergeant John David Rossi. Detective Sergeant Rossi’s dedication, leadership, and service have set a strong example for those who follow. Also officially sworn in were our 10 new officers who recently graduated the police academy. These officers are ready to serve with honor, courage, and a commitment to our community and will be hitting the road in the next few days!”
“As we welcome new beginnings and celebrate hard-earned promotions, we’re reminded that every badge represents a promise—to protect, to lead, and to never stop striving for excellence,” the BPD concluded.
