New Program Announced For Nutley Toddlers
Weeklong program offers youngsters a variety of athletic options.
This week, Nutley Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci announced Total Sports Squirts, a new program for Nutley children.
Under the direction of the US Sports Institute, children ages 3-5 can try lacrosse, soccer, basketball, t-ball, floor hockey, parachute games and other sports in a weeklong program.
Officials say the Total Sports Squirts Program is ideal for the child who wants to try a variety of sports, as each session of the program offers a different activity.

“We introduce these programs to help our toddlers develop life skills such as physical development, coordination, self-esteem and peer socialization” Tucci said in a press release.
Total Sports Squirts will be held at Glotzbach Field from June 17 through June 21. Sessions will be one hour a day for a consecutive week. Five time slots will be available to choose from including an 8:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 3:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. session. The program costs $79 per child, per session. There is limited space in each session and applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.

Online registration is available at www.Nutleynj.org or at the Department of Parks and Recreation located at 44 Park Ave. This program is open to Nutley Residents only.
