Government Meetings, Bike Races and Jaycee Honors Ahead This Week in Belleville and Nutley

Nutley’s Spring Cleanup starts on April 1 and goes to April 12. Residents are encouraged to clean their yards of leaves and other vegetation that may have collected during the winter. Officials say leaves, pine needles, brush, small branches and other yard waste should be placed in brown biodegradable bags and placed curbside for pick-up during the first two weeks of April. Loose materials or waste placed in plastic bags will not be accepted.
Belleville’s Municipal Council meets at 7 p.m. on Monday, April at the Belleville municipal building.
Nutley’s Board of Commissioners meets on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Nutley Municipal Building.

The winners of the Nutley Jaycees’ Distinguished Service Awards will be honored at a Thursday April 4 dinner at the Valley Regency, 1149 Valley Road, Clifton. The event opens with a 6:30 p.m. cocktail hour followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. Tickets at $45 can be reserved by calling Dr. Steven Clarke at 973-235-1515
