Holiday Shopping Events In Belleville-Nutley Will Boost Small Businesses

Belleville and Nutley residents will get a chance to boost their local economies at two upcoming events.

BELLEVILLE-NUTLEY, NJ — Want to shop local for the holidays? Belleville and Nutley residents will get a chance to boost their local economies at two upcoming events.

BELLEVILLE

Belleville will host a “Holiday Shop” in combination with its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 6. The event will take place at Belleville High School, 100 Passaic Avenue. Learn more here.

The schedule of activities includes:

  • Holiday Shops and Food Trucks – 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. (browse for holiday gifts from local vendors)
  • Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony – 8:15 p.m.
  • Holiday Extravaganza (begins at 5:30 p.m.) – Trackless Train Rides, Petting Zoo, Ice Skating Rink, Photos with Santa, Mrs. Claus baking cookies, Horse & Carriage Rides, Live Entertainment, Food Trucks

The Nutley Department of Public Affairs and Health and the Nutley Chamber of Commerce will host a small business “Shop ‘til you Drop” event from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at the Nutley Elks Lodge, 242 Chestnut Street.

Local small business owners will be on hand to showcase and demonstrate their products and services to shoppers. Complimentary desserts and beverages will be available, organizers said.
