HOLIDAY TREASURE CHEST

Local families in need will have an even brighter holiday this year thanks to the LoCurcio family – owners of the Nutley, Belleville and Kearny ShopRite supermarkets – who recently donated $7,500 to the Township of Nutley Department of Public Affairs and Health’s “Holiday Treasure Chest” program.

According to a news release from the township:

“The Annual Holiday Treasure Chest has an amazing impact on recipient families thanks to annual donations like this and many more from businesses and residents. Throughout the weeks leading up to the Christmas holiday, the Nutley Department of Public Affairs and Health accepts donations from the community of gift cards in $25 increments to local stores, to be given directly to families in need to help them better enjoy the holiday season.”

“The generosity of the Locurcio family underscores the importance of the impact local businesses have in our community,” Kelly said.

“I'm truly blown away by their gift to our community,” the commissioner added. “They are true neighbors to all of us and they have made the holidays brighter for so many Nutley residents.”
