Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?
Brian J. Warner: The business has been in existence for over the past twenty-five years. Brian and Deb Warner, both Funeral Directors, assumed operations, January 1, 2022.

Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?
Brian J. Warner: Lifelong desire to assist people in need. Brian started working in a cemetery at age 14, then became a licensed funeral director in NY in 1993, and NJ in 2003. Deb lost a bet, went to school and was licensed in 2020.

Patch: What's the most common piece of advice you give to customers?
Brian J. Warner: Have the hard conversation. The number one complaint we hear from families and survivors: "Mom/Dad, thought it would be easier to just be cremated with no services, to avoid inconveniencing us. But not having even a small service just makes us feel so empty." Don't cut your family out of the decision making process. Ask them what kind of services they would want to remember you by.

Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?
Brian J. Warner: Providing families with personal and dignified services that bring them inner peace and comfort.

Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?
Brian J. Warner: Transparency. We are a first generation, family owned and operated organization. We try to provide as much information to the consumer as possible, without overwhelming them. We try to keep the process simple. At times we will recommend that a client family call another provider, that may be better able to accommodate their needs, rather than promise the world, and not be able to deliver.
