Local Justice: Decisions in the Nutley Municipal Court

The Nutley Municipal Court handles criminal cases arising in Nutley. The criminal cases resolved at its last session are reported below.

In State v.Christine Aiello, of Bloomfield, the State charged defendant with theft of jewelry (valued at $500) from a residence on November 17, 2011.  The County Prosecutor's Office downgraded the charge to a disorderly conduct offense and sent the case back to the Municipal Court.  Defendant pleaded guilty to the downgraded charge of disorderly conduct.  The Court imposed a one year term of supervised parole and also imposed fees and costs totaling $    .

The Nutley Municipal Court convenes in the Municipal Court Public Safety Building, 2nd Floor, located at 228 Chestnut Street. The Court convenes Wednesdays.
